Sorina Docuz, former Miss Buzău and life partner of Marcel Ciolacu, has become the center of a family business network exploiting publicly funded contracts and institutional positions. Around her, profitable companies generating significant revenue are managed by members of her family, taking advantage of political connections with the PSD and close relationships with politician Viorica Dăncilă/Marcel Ciolacu. [1] [2]

Sorina Docuz owns, together with her father, Dumitru Docuz, DCZ Shop SRL. Originally founded by her mother, Marioara Docuz, in 2015, the company reported for the year 2025 a turnover of 410,000 lei and a profit of 50,000 lei, having a single employee. Another entity, DCZ Food Shop SRL, created in 2020 with the participation of her mother, recorded in the same year a turnover of nearly 300,000 lei and a profit of 95,000 lei. Both companies, which carry out retail trade of food products and beverages, have their headquarters in a room within the Palladium Residence complex, developed by the Negoiță brothers. [1] [2]

Another pillar of the family business is Look Outdoor SRL, a company where Sorina Docuz served as director. Initially an apartment company under the name Alsow Criela SRL, with zero employees and operating at a loss, it began generating significant revenue after 2018. A major initial contract involved selling furniture to a company of Sector 3 Municipality, then led by Robert Negoiță, Sorina's former husband, with Cristina Elena Arghir, Sorina's sister, heading the purchasing entity. After Roxana Maria Ilie, an associate of the family, took over half of the company in 2020, the turnover grew spectacularly, from 6,520 lei to 5.4 million lei in a single year. Revenues were heavily fueled by contracts with the PSD, including the largest campaign contract of its branch in Buzău. [1] [2]

Cristina Elena Arghir, Sorina Docuz's sister, and her husband, Alin Arghir, have held or continue to hold management positions in state-owned companies and public entities. Cristina worked at Ring Media Group and Red Promotion Advertising SRL (owned by the Negoiță family), before being appointed in 2017 to the board of directors of Internet și Tehnologie S3 SRL, a company of Sector 3 Municipality, from where she received approximately 5,000 euros monthly. Later, she was placed on the boards of directors of Rofersped SA (CFR Marfă) and the Romanian Lottery by Sorin Grindeanu, and managed Voltalim SA. She was also nominated at Romgaz, but the appointment was withdrawn following public reactions. [1] [2]

The family's profitability is also supported by Gab Pavolux SRL, founded in 2012 by Sorina's uncle, Gabi Iulian Slămnoiu, and later transferred to Andrei Andrei. On the public procurement platform, the company's contact details indicate the presence of Alin Arghir, Sorina's brother-in-law. Gab Pavolux obtained numerous catering contracts for schools in Sector 3, total values exceeding 2.3 million lei across just 12 recent contracts. A framework agreement for the „After-School Program” in Sector 6 had a value of nearly 7 million lei, leading the company to a profit of over 3.87 million lei in 2025. [1] [2]

The Docuz family's historical portfolio includes various entrepreneurial attempts in the fields of food service, tailoring, and automotive. From DCZ Food Festin SRL and SOW Atelier SRL (tailoring workshop) in 2010, to attempts in car washes through Seba Wash SRL and Monolit Self Wash SRL in 2020–2021, the family has successfully built a solid base in retail and public contract businesses, consolidating its position in the local and national economic environment through the political connections of its members.
