Filip Andrei Ciolacu, son of former Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, has become a university assistant at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy 'Carol Davila' in Bucharest. His promotion occurred in the Microbiology I course, a position coordinated by Alexandru Rafila, who holds a leadership role both at the faculty and at the 'Matei Balș' Institute in the capital. [1]

The recruitment process took place between July 14 and 17, with the validation of the position completed at the end of that month. Filip Andrei Ciolacu scored 9.03 on the exam, placing him third among candidates. According to information published by the higher education institution, his name appears among those who have filled one of the available positions at the Faculty of Medicine. [1]

Filip Ciolacu’s recent academic trajectory includes graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at 'Ovidius' University in Constanța in 2024. Later, in November of the same year, he passed the national residency exam, scoring 579 points, which placed him 4,503rd nationally. In the initial placement allocation, he chose the specialty in Microbiology and was assigned to the County Emergency Clinical Hospital in Târgu Mureș. [1]

Later, through successive detachments, Filip Ciolacu arrived at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases 'Prof. Dr. Matei Balș' in Bucharest. His presence in this structure and his promotion at Carol Davila draw attention due to the political context, given that in November 2023 (erroneously noted as 202), Marcel Ciolacu was Prime Minister of Romania and president of the PSD, while Alexandru Rafila served as Minister of Health in Ciolacu's government. [1]

Regarding salary grading, the minimum base pay for resident activity, corresponding to a workload of 13.7 hours per month, is set at 6,520 lei gross. This amount represents the grading level mentioned for the activity in question and must not be confused with net income or other earnings from separate professional activities. [1]

Filip Andrei Ciolacu married Iris Alexa civilly in 2023. The ceremony was kept private, taking place at the Albatros Villa in Marghiloman Park in Buzău. [1]
