Imam Omar Suleiman, the religious servant of U.S. President Donald Trump, has been included in a civil lawsuit for supporting the Saleh family business, involved in the global scandal concerning corrupt money from Iraqi oil. [1]

According to a petition filed in November at the federal court in Chicago, the Saleh family spent billions of dollars obtained through corruption. The petition mentions that Omar Suleiman and his two sons, Abdullah and Muhammad, served as founders of the Saleh business. [1]

Omar Suleiman denied the allegations. He stated in a post on X that he worked for an independent charitable foundation and that the lawsuit is a 'desperate attempt to find a responsible party for the losses of the Saleh family business'. [1]

Sohail Saleh, the Dubai-based manager of the business, was also sued. The federal lawsuit in Chicago claims he helped collect sums of corrupt money from Iraqi oil, with the involvement of the Saleh family and Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. [1]

Sohail Saleh's wife, Maha Alkaff, was also investigated for alleged banking fraud. She denied the accusations but left the United Kingdom in 2011 to avoid the investigation. [1]

Moreover, an employee of Maha was sued for alleged data security breaches, after allegedly demanding $70 million to return 900 photos from a private event organized by Soheil, Suhayl, and Maha. [1]
