Garance Authié, a 22-year-old model from Île-de-France, has been selected to represent France at the 75th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled for November 24, 2026, in Porto Rico. This selection follows an unprecedented process orchestrated directly by the international committee after the Miss France organization withdrew from the competition. Authié succeeds Ève Gilles (Miss France 2024) and Indira Ampiot, both of whom reached the top 30 last year. Unlike previous representatives, she did not pass through the traditional Miss France committee. [1]
Authié, who holds a master’s degree from London Business School obtained in July 2026, described her support system during an interview with Femme Actuelle on November 5. She highlighted the crucial role of her family, noting that many relatives intend to attend the ceremony in Porto Rico but must be limited due to space constraints. Regarding her personal life, she revealed with a smile that her heart is already taken, adding, “That’s all I’ll say.” [1]
Standing at 1.79 meters, Authié has been modeling since childhood while maintaining strong academic performance, earning her baccalaureate with honors at age 17. Her studies abroad made her fluent in English and Spanish, with basic Italian. Beyond her professional and academic achievements, she cultivates passions for classical dance, diving, horse riding, and travel. With over 104,000 Instagram followers, she aims to perform well in the contest, drawing comparisons to her predecessors. [1]
