Presenter Eva Jinek (48 years old) sold the villa located in Abcoude quietly, with the property changing hands at the end of August. According to available information, the property was transferred for approximately 2.4 million euros, a transaction that secured a significant profit for the presenter. [5] [4]

The initial purchase took place in 2020, when Eva Jinek and her husband, Dexter van der Voorn, acquired the property at an estimated price of 1.5 million euros, with financing provided by a mortgage loan of 2 million euros. Between the selling price of 2.4 million euros and the initial cost of 1.5 million euros, the total difference is approximately 900,000 euros. Specific sources, including Bekende Buren, estimate the actual net profit based on mortgage data at around 400,000 euros. The property was not put on the market through a standard public auction. [5]

The villa in Abcoude had a living area of 287 square meters, organized across three residential levels. The property featured nine rooms, including six bedrooms and two bathrooms. The equipment included a luxury kitchen, equipped with built-in appliances and a food preparation island. The backyard garden extended over approximately 266 square meters, having a length of about 19 meters, and the land included two parking spaces. [5]

The sale from Abcoude preceded the acquisition of a monumental villa in The Hague, which the Jinek-Van der Voorn family purchased in June for approximately 2.2 million euros. The initial intention was for the family to move into the new residence after summer. However, the relocation process encountered major obstacles. [5] [4]

The building in The Hague, constructed in 1885, was described by Eva Jinek as “very much neglected.” The structure had been left without adequate maintenance for a long period, leading to severe degradation, including the complete removal of parquet flooring. The presenter mentioned that her husband is very skilled at practical work, and she considers herself capable as well. [4]

The problems were exacerbated by the status of the building as a national historic monument, which imposes extremely rigid rules for any intervention on the structure. The search encountered administrative bottlenecks, requiring special permits for partial demolitions and renovations. Additionally, major technical issues arose when the presence of asbestos in the house’s structure was detected, necessitating costly and complex decontamination operations before any further construction activities. [5]

Given the uncertainty regarding the completion date of the work on the villa in The Hague, it was difficult for the family to establish a stable temporary address. Eva Jinek previously stayed temporarily in Noordwijk during the next repair period, although she did not provide details about her current location. Moreover, the family previously owned a luxury seaside apartment, also in Noordwijk, which had been sold some time ago. [5]

The motivation for choosing the Dutch capital, The Hague, for their future residence is linked to personal factors and family roots. Eva Jinek spent part of her childhood in this locality, and her parents, Pavel and Radana, continue to live there. The move is viewed by the presenter as a return to her origins and a step toward familial stability. [4]
