Dorinda Medley, known for her presence on Bravo and E! reality shows, told People that she is considering selling her historic Blue Stone Manor estate in the Berkshires. Although she is in no hurry, the 61-year-old star said she is aware that there will come a time when it no longer makes sense for her to manage the massive property alone. “I’m in no rush,” she stated during the premiere of her new E! series, “The Golden Life,” airing on October 14. However, Medley acknowledges that the image of a 70-year-old woman living in an 11,000-square-foot house seems increasingly unrealistic to her. [1]

Blue Stone Manor was not just an investment, but a family project. Medley’s grandparents and father contributed to the construction of the 1902 Tudor-style home. Her late husband, Richard Medley, surprised her by buying the neglected property in 2005, a few months before their wedding. The couple invested nearly $4 million in extensive renovations. After Richard’s death in 2011, Dorinda continued to keep the house alive, preserving both the building’s history and recent memories. [1]

The 20-acre property, located in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, became a landmark for fans of the “Real Housewives” franchise. Numerous episodes were filmed there, including an entire season of “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” and a 20th-anniversary celebration party for the franchise featuring 82 former and current colleagues of Medley. She described the experience as “extremely surreal,” recalling moments such as seeing her colleagues’ images reflected in the house’s spaces. [1]

Earlier this year, Dorinda Medley already put a 3.7-acre parcel from the property on the market at a price of $1.2 million. The land, which is buildable and has its own private entrance, is surrounded by protected areas. The decision to sell this portion followed a comprehensive one-and-a-half-year topographical study, which revealed that she actually owns 20 acres, not the approximately 11 she had believed until then. Medley explained that she no longer needs the entire perimeter at this current stage of her life, but clearly emphasized that selling the extra land does not necessarily mean she is ready to sell the house itself.
