Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc and his wife, Alexandra Saint Mleux, have announced the arrival of their first child, a daughter named Bianca. The news was shared on Instagram on November 4, 2026, revealing that the baby was born on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The couple posted a symbolic photograph showing the newborn's tiny feet in pink woolen slippers, accompanied by the caption 'Bianca 3.11.26'.
The birth comes less than nine months after the couple's wedding celebrations in Monaco. While they held a civil ceremony in February 2026 and a second celebration at Villa La Vigie earlier this year, they kept their pregnancy private until now. Alexandra had been attending races with a visible baby bump over recent months. Leclerc had previously told WWD magazine in August that his life was likely to change significantly by 2027, especially on a family level.
Charles Leclerc returned to Monaco immediately after finishing fourth in the Mexican Grand Prix to be present for the birth. He will now miss the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend to spend time with his family. His position at Scuderia Ferrari will be taken by Dino Beganovic for the first free practice session. However, Leclerc is expected to return to the cockpit for the remainder of the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, including further practice sessions, qualifying, and the race itself. He will only miss press events scheduled for Thursday.
The announcement of Bianca's birth has drawn congratulations from across the motorsport world, including Pierre Gasly, Oscar Piastri, Mercedes team, Ferrari, and the FIA. Leclerc aims to secure his second victory of the 2026 season at Interlagos, having won previously in Great Britain earlier in July. It remains undecided if he will participate in the final three races of the season in Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi, where he may resume his regular duties after the Brazilian event.
