The family dispute surrounding NBA legend Bill Russell has returned to court, more than a decade after his children contested his care and mental capacity. In 2015, Karen Russell and her brother Jacob sued Jeannine Fiorito, Bill Russell's partner and caregiver, for isolating him from the family and controlling his finances. Jeannine's new allegations target comments made by Karen Russell in October 2025, in which she told the Boston Globe that her father had 'well-known cognitive problems'. Jeannine claims these comments violated a confidentiality and nondisparagement agreement signed in 2015, which brought Karen more than half a million dollars. [1]
