Metallica guitarist Lars Ulrich sold two adjacent villas in the prestigious Presidio Heights neighborhood of San Francisco for nearly $68 million, a fact confirmed by The San Francisco Standard. Sold in separate transactions but on the same day, the approximately 22,000-square-foot homes doubled Ulrich's initial investment, which he had made about a decade earlier when he bought them from Salesforce co-founder Marc Benioff for a total of $36 million.
