Olympique de Marseille is in a difficult position in this edition of the Europa League after suffering three consecutive defeats in the first three rounds. The team led by Bruno Génésio aims to recover points under pressure to qualify for the competition's later stages. Marseille will face Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday, November 5, 2026, a critical meeting against the Germans who remain undefeated in European competition. The match will be broadcast live starting at 20:45. Sports analysts express hope that Bruno Génésio's side can emerge from its current crisis, securing at least a point against Leverkusen, hoping this will open the path to preserving qualification prospects. The squad selected by Bruno Génésio for the match against Leverkusen includes an optimistic lineup, published on the club's official X account, ahead of an heroic battle on German soil. A crucial aspect of the meeting is that, after three matches and three defeats, Marseille's record is disadvantageous. The team must avoid a complete collapse of its chances to reach the playoff zones or to advance directly to the Round of 16 of the Europa League. [1]
