The targeted postal facility is located right in the center of Des Moines, in the northern part of the city, directly in front of one of the main local hospitals. Local police stated that the situation was secured shortly after law enforcement arrived, but response teams continued to check the building to ensure no other individuals were hiding inside, following standard protocols alongside justice partners.
