Six heritage items, previously stolen from the Cincșor Fortified Church, have been rediscovered right within the place of worship, hidden in a niche under the altar table. The discovery was made by a photographer who was taking detailed pictures of the furniture and liturgical objects, noticing the handkerchief, headscarf, and torn underskirts, which were part of an exhibition of Saxon traditional clothing hosted the previous summer. The church administrators believe that the thieves returned the items secretly, likely to avoid detection and punishment, using the building as a temporary storage location. It is estimated that the items were stolen more than a month ago, while there are currently no clear details on how the items ended up in the altar. [1]
