Attorney Thomas Giuffra described severe pressures and death threats received by his client following her complaint regarding an alleged gang rape at Cornell University. Among the incidents, Giuffra was contacted by phone with an explicit threat: “Drop the case or I will kill your wife.” The plaintiff also became the victim of malicious “swatting” in October, an attack orchestrated by having someone call police to report that she had committed murder, resulting in an armed police response at her home.
