American footwear brand Clarks partners with Italian luxury footwear producer Diemme for a collection designed to transition from street to mountain. Launched on November 5, 2026, this collaboration includes three iconic models: Wallabee, Desert Boot, and Desert Trek. [1]
The main model, the Wallabee, retains its mocassin silhouette but is crafted from pale 'chocolate' leather sourced from British tannery Charles F. Stead. The design has been adapted for rough terrain by replacing the classic sole with a robust, lug-sole unit characteristic of Diemme’s Roccia Vet and Cornaro boots, providing sufficient grip for mountain hiking. The other two models feature similar upgrades. The Desert Boot retains the classic marron wire detailing (the “cola”) but uses a heavy, durable sole. The Desert Trek has been transformed into a mid-height black leather boot, reinforcing the ankle upper for added support and adding D-rings to the lacing system.
