Dutch singer Gordon Heuckeroth has announced that he is once again living with his former partner, Patrick. The two men have known each other for forty years and were together for eleven years before separating in 2000. They have now resumed cohabiting in an apartment in Amsterdam-Noord.
Gordon attributes the reunion to a period of vulnerability following a serious car accident. He told media outlets that Patrick moved in to support him during his recovery, stating, 'He was the first one standing next to my bed.' The intensity of this support led Gordon to suggest that they simply stay together in his large home rather than part ways.
Describing their current arrangement, Gordon characterized it as having all the benefits without the burdens of a traditional romantic relationship. He noted, 'We lie on the couch together, I massage his feet and he squeezes pimples off my face.' In terms of household chores, the division of labor is clear: Gordon cooks while Patrick handles the cleaning. Gordon admitted, 'I don't have the eye for it [cleaning].'
