Polman has had enough of these stories. She told the 100% NL Magazine: I am not super active on Instagram because I often forget to post something or take a photo. I was still looking for a photo of me and Raf together this morning, and I really have to put in effort for that. [1]
Furthermore, she finds sharing her life online unpleasant at times. She commented: I often find social media just a hassle. Everything I post there gets widely dissected in the media. I don't always have the mood for that. [1]
She emphasized her desire for privacy with the heading: 'Want a little bit of rest'. [1]
This does not mean she consciously shields her private life. Polman stated: It's not that people shouldn't see anything of us, it's just not so fascinating to show. The children go to school, we eat, lie on the sofa, play a round of padel occasionally, and sleep. [1]
According to Polman, media scrutiny extends not only to what she shares but also to what she leaves out. She explained: When I don't share a photo of me and Rafael together for a while, it is immediately suggested that we have broken up. I find that irritating. We sometimes just want a little bit of rest. [1]
